What is Cyberbullying?

Cyberbullying is bullying someone online on purpose. It can happen anywhere at anytime, and happens over and over. It is kind of like digital drama, but on a much larger and more abusive scale.

Some forms that cyberbullying can take are:

  • Posting mean comments
  • Starting a flamewar or trolling
  • Sending mean text messages or e-mails
  • Spreading rumors through IM, social media, e-mail, or any other place on the web
  • Posting embarrassing or profane pictures or videos
  • Starting a blog meant to embarrass someone
  • Pretending to be someone else in order to hurt someone

If you see cyberbullying happening, tell an adult right away.
